Born into a culturally rich family, Yasmin Mushtari inherited a deep appreciation for literature, poetry, and music. Her father, Talim Hussain, was a distinguished poet-journalist and founder of the Bangladesh Nazrul Academy; her mother, Mafruha Chowdhury, was a respected journalist and short-story writer. In addition to singing, Yasmin Mushtari is also involved in various social and cultural organizations.
